The Importance of Parts Boxes

While some manufacturers have always washed the reusable shipping cartons (parts boxes) passed back and forth between parts manufacturers, there is a growing trend among manufacturers, especially in the automotive industry, to mechanize the process from washing to drying in order to prevent contamination of products, improve appearance, and reduce man-hours.

It may sound extreme, but it is possible in the near future that only washed containers will be accepted for delivery.

Characteristics of Parts Manufacturers

1. ① Even when grime such as machine oil (lubricating oil) or debris from cutting (wood or metal chips, iron dust) are removed, the water used for washing cannot be disposed of easily.
2. ② Washed containers must be very dry for parts to be placed in them.
3. ③ Many customers do not have a steam boiler installed, and for this reason many electric heaters are required as a heat source.
